Welcome back to Cannabis 101! From citrusy limonene to earthy myrcene, Week 3 dives into how terpenes shape your cannabis experience, busts common myths, and shows how pairing cannabis with intention can elevate your wellness routine.
Bite-Sized Education
1) Terpenes = Flavor and Feel Why does one strain smell like citrus and another like earth or pine? Terpenes. These aromatic compounds also influence how a strain feels:- Limonene → bright citrus; many report a lift in mood
- Myrcene → earthy/herbal; often associated with deeper relaxation
- Pinene → pine; some find it helps with alertness and clarity
Myth vs. Fact
Myth: “CBD only works at high doses.” Fact: Many people do better at moderate doses (the “bell curve” response). Start low, go slow, and adjust based on how you feel. Myth: “THCa isn’t helpful unless you smoke it.” Fact: Raw THCa (unheated) is non-psychoactive and many consumers use it in tinctures or fresh prep for calm, balance, or post-workout ease—without the head high. Heat it, and it converts to THC.Wellness Insight: Pair Cannabis with Intention
A little intention goes a long way. Try pairing a low dose of THCa or CBD with a mindful practice—journaling, stretching, a walk, or breathwork. Notice the difference in focus, calm, or creativity. Stay tuned for Week 4, we’ll take a closer look at how cannabis interacts with your body and clearing up some of the biggest myths out there.Cannabis 101 Series
